| Final Logo Design |
When we posted our ideas and designs online people asked about the logo, we knew brand was important and a the image of it is a must. It helps to show off what the product or company is about and create an image users can think of when describing the app.
We decided that the logo and app name needed to be something that could really show off what the whole project is about. The name we went for is "Expand" as in to expand your, horizons, expand, your mind and expand your network. The app is about networking therefor this name worked perfectly. The tag line that fit with this name is "Networking Made Easy" initially, we had the idea to use a similar tagline "Networking the easy way" but this felt too long and not to the point.
As for the design of the logo, we went through a few initial designs before making them digital and finishing with our final. We thought arrows or lines connecting together would help to show off the idea. The final piece shows arrows interlinking as they bulge out from one another. This shows expansion whilst still showing networking.
