I decided I would try and take the song At Last further hopefully to create a finally outcome for the competition.
These designs are playing on the idea I had previously and making the work 'Life' look musical. I started making different musical symbols look like the letters and eventually moved onto making a sound wave look like it. Inspiration came from the Arctic Monkeys album AM.

Looking into the lyrics of the song seemed to help me as I already knew the song so avoiding the lyrics would have been a hard thing to do. This time I took the lyrics "my heart was wrapped up in clover" I thought that this could be made in quite a nice way and even simplified down to a level that would only just resemble a clover.
The other idea is to use the word Timeless to describe both the song and Etta James herself. I wanted to use white space around the text to soften the writing and I also tried adding in the clover idea to see how they would work together.
