Above are some mockups for the vinyl and CD covers. I kept the designs the same for the front of the case but decided to change up the design for the inside and the back as well as adding designs to the CD/Vinyl itself.
For the inside of the CD case I spread out the hands with options to add in text or just to be left as they are. The plastic holder for the cd will sit on the right hand side covering the right hand and the left can either be kept as it is or a slot to hold in a book can be added. The book could be something to add to the project as a little addition with artwork and photos inside or song lyrics.
This print really stood out as a final cover piece but it was a little too simple. This is why it was chosen to be used on the actual CD itself. This will carry on the design from the outside of the case whilst not making it too busy. As it is a relief of the hands as well it makes the design sort of flow more going from 3D on the exterior to 2D inside.
The model was asked to just go crazy to create some patterns that could be used further down the line of the design. This piece was made which would help to cover the back of the case and not make it too simplistic.
