Further design research led to look into gig poster designs; rock, the who and 70s posters. Like the other designs I have looked at, type is not heavy on most of the posters and if it is, it is to give relevant information for that event. More modern designs feature a lot less type and more focus is put onto the artwork on the poster and making the name of the artist bold and clear to stand out from the rest of the design. Although the designs aren't as simplistic from the 70s posters and The Who I would quite like to take these styles and maybe make them a bit more modern, this would give the poster more of a celebratory feel rather than just making something for an event that has already been.
